Investigating the effect of edge modifications on networked control systems: Stability analysis

This paper investigates the impact of addition/removal/reweighting edges in a complex networked linear control system. For networks positive edge weights, we show that when adding leads to creation new cycles, these turn may lead instabilities. Dynamically, cycles correspond feedback loops. Conditions are provided under which modified network is guaranteed be stable. These conditions related steady state value transfer function matrix newly created feedbacks. The tools develop can used investigate fragility network, i.e., its robustness structured perturbations.
